Colorado Blue Spruce

This tree is commonly known as a Blue Spruce. Its botanical name is Picea pungens 'Glacua' and it is native to Colorado. This evergreen conifer, has a beautiful conical shape with blue needle-like foliage. It's landscape use makes a good lawn highlight and it can be pruned to create a tall hedge. The Spruce prefers a fertile, moist loam soil, full sun, and slowly grows to 100 feet or more.
